Ellie Aldridge. Gold Medallist.

It is safe to say that being in the presence of an Olympic Gold medal winner is a star striking moment.

I returned to Weymouth to conclude recording for Sink or Swim with an interview with Ellie Aldridge.

Listening to Ellie’s journey and knowing how hard she had to work learning a totally different type of sport epitomises the value the medal really has. Blood, sweat and tears are the minimum to make it and achieve gold at the Olympics.

Having a sailing gold medallist be apart of my documentary was a massive bonus to me. It provides a great example of what Cameron could potentially become, especially as Ellie won her gold medal on debut in Paris last Summer.

Overall, the experience of interviewing someone with the stature of a gold medal winner will always stick with me.
